DO YOU WISH TO STOP TICKING OF YOUR AGING CLOCK?

DO YOU WISH TO STOP TICKING OF YOUR AGING CLOCK?
If humans had the choice of escaping one definite sorrow of life, they would have wished to stop their aging clock from ticking. We are afraid of getting old more than anything else. But much to our despair, our bodily systems are aging rapidly than actually they are destined to. Our negligence for health can be blamed for the same.

In this highly competitive era, while focusing on multiple issues of life, we can’t afford to waste (should say invest) our time for proper food and sleep. The result is underlying stress, nutritional impairment, and lifestyle disorders. All these seem to gang up to form a vicious circle resulting in impaired health and premature aging.

Ayurveda comes here for your rescue. Why fear aging when you can actually prevent it and can promote healthy aging to ensure optimal health and longevity.

Ayurveda, the classical Indian medicinal heritage promises to keep you healthy throughout your life and minimize impressions of advancing age on the systems of the body. Rasayan Chikitsa or Rejuvenation Therapy is a dedicated discipline of Ayurveda that offers a plentitude of measures for healthy aging. This term does not necessarily imply to medicines only. In fact, it is a comprehensive term that is suggestive of a multidimensional approach through a balanced diet, proper lifestyle, and rejuvenating drugs. These include:

Reputed Anti-aging Herbs:

Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia): Excellent immune-modulator and anti-inflammatory. Useful in fever, diabetes, and senile degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.

Haritaki(Terminalia chebula): Improves digestion and has anti-aging properties. Strengthens immunity, improves memory, and is an overall health promoter.

Amalaki(Emblica Officinalis): Also known as Indian Gooseberry. It is the best natural source of Vitamin C. Rich in anti-oxidants and promotes immunity.

Mandukparni (Centella asiatica): Neuro-protective and anti-anxiety drug. It enhances memory and promotes intellect.

Punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa): Known for its diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties. It also exhibits potential cardioprotective properties.

These herbs can be either integrated with diet or taken as medications as per the advice of the physician.

Lifestyle and Behavioral Measures (Achar Rasayan):

In Ayurveda, certain codes of conduct or disciplinary measures of lifestyle are included in Achar Rasayan which suggests us to be truthful, abstain from addictions and violence, practice adequate diet and sleep habits, follow social ethics of respecting the elderly and knowledgeable persons and follow practices to attain mental peace. These measures, when followed properly and regularly, ensure proper nourishment at the cellular level, which certainly enhances physical as well as psychological, spiritual, and social health.

Rasayan Therapy:
Rasayan Therapies can be administered by a physician as per the requirement and convenience of the recipient. In ayurvedic classics, two modes of Rasayan administration have been mentioned as:

Kutipraveshik– Administration of therapy is done under the surveillance of a trained healthcare professional where a person has to reside in a specially prepared cottage for longer durations under strict rules and regulations. It is usually a less preferred method.

Vatatapik– In this method, a person can perform his daily routine activities and can be exposed to external weather conditions while taking Rasayan Therapy. It is an easy and commendable method.

One can easily avail of various types of Rejuvenation therapies based on mode, purpose, or place of administration. All the above measures, when collaborated adequately, result in improved nutrition, enhanced immunity, and overall promotion of health. Aging won’t give us nightmares anymore.

Wishing us all Happy and Healthy Aging.
