EASIEST RECIPE OF GOLDEN MILK – THE DELICIOUS DRINK! Golden milk or turmeric milk is a delicious drink to have in the evening and the benefits are extra ordinary. This preparation helps protect cells from damage, fight off diseases and improves immunity.

It is made with cow’s milk, turmeric and spices. Ayurveda suggests that only boiled milk should be used, as it decreases mucus production and enhances digestive function better than raw milk. Instead of cow’s milk we can use almond and coconut milk also.

The main ingredient of golden milk is turmeric which gives yellow color to this preparation. Anti inflammatory effects of turmeric may reduce inflammatory arthritis, risk of heart diseases and nervous disorders.

Spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and pepper are adding to increase flavor and nutrition. Spices help to increase digestion and reduce digestive problems.

PREPARATION OF GOLDEN MILK:

Cow’s milk- 1 cup

Turmeric- 1 teaspoon

Spices : ginger, black pepper and cinnamon- 1/2 pinch each

Sugar -2 teaspoon

Water – ½cup

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

Mix milk and water in a pan and add 1 teaspoon turmeric.

Boil the mixture for some time in a medium heat.

Strain the drink and add sugar. Mix well.

Top this mixture with spices.

Allow this to cool.
