Gargle

Gandusha : Procedure of holding the medicinal decoction/ liquid/ oil in the buccal cavity for certain period without gargling. It can be done in both healthy and diseased persons. In a healthy person it can be done as a regular practice by using til taila (sesame oil).

This procedure produces local as well as systemic effect. Used for the diseases of oral mucosa, gum, tingue, teeth etc generally for local effect. At the same time it can produce some systemic effect as the medicines can absorb by oral mucosa and can directly enter in to systemic circulation more rapidly.
