Anantamoola can be used to make syrup and sarbath in hot climatic condition. It is used to serve at small refreshment shops in south India.
Syrup: Take 50g anantamool root and wash with water. Before crushing it can be soaked in cold water for few hours. Slightly crushed roots can be taken in a vessel and add 7 glass of water into it. Boil in a medium flame and add sugar (1 kg) to the boiling mixture. Stir well. When it becomes a medium thick (oily) consistency add egg white to it. So we could remove the brown dirty portion when draining. Allow this mixture to boil for 2 minutes till you get a string consistency. Then drain the syrup. After getting the syrup kept it in a glass vessel at room temperature.
Sarbath: Take 2-3 spoons full of anantamoola root syrup in a glass and add lemon juice to it. Fill the glass with soda/water. We can add ice cubes and kas kas seeds into it. It is thirst quenching syrup and can be used in summer season. It is a best cool drink for a hot day!
