It cures fever, jaundice, thirst, burning sensation, diabetes, piles, skin ailments, respiratory disorders, neurological problems and improves intellect.

Guduchi is known for its Rasayana properties. It is pacifier of all three dosha and its leaves and stem powder with honey effectively controls diabetes and cholesterol. Decoction of the whole plant is mentioned by charaka as a  medhya-rasayana. It is rich in anti-oxidants and has got immuno-modulatory activity.
